MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Institute is to continue to operate as a centre of excellence through the provision of quality Technical, Vocational and Professional Education and Training thus contributing towards meeting the middle level human resource requirements of The Gambia. We will continue our proactive response to the changing development needs, employment opportunities and realities of the nation and continue to aim at increasing our contribution towards national development by expanding the Institute’s range of training programmes to cater for all potential clients and the development of higher level programmes. In an attempt to address this challenge, GTTI will embark on working on both the Transformation and the Tertiary Integration processes to support the Institutional structures. As part of the expansion process, GTTI has taken over the Rural Skills Training Centre (RSTC) in Mansakonko, Lower River Region from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education as a Rural Annex, in addition to the Banjul Skills Training Centre earlier annexed with a view to cater for the skills training needs of the Rural Community. The Centre has already started operating and offering training programmes in Engineering and Construction since September 2008.
