VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Gambians to fill the following vacant positions at the Gambia Technical Training Institute (GTTI).

  1. HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER (HRM)

SALARY GRADE: Grade 10 point 1 of the GTTI Integrated Pay Scale

PERSON QUALIFICATION:

  1. A very good post graduate degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or Management from a recognized university with at least five years relevant work experience in a similar educational setting.
  2. A Masters degree in HRM or its equivalent with at least five years relevant work experience preferably in a similar educational setting.
  3. A minimum of Bachelors degree in HRM, Public administration or Management from a recognized university with at least seven (7) years’ experience in a similar educational setting.

 

  1. DEPUTY REGISTRAR

SALARY GRADE: Grade 10 point 1 of the GTTI Integrated Pay Scale

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

The Deputy Registrar will work in close consultation with the Registrar. S/he will assist in the coordination of students’ enrollment, registration and maintenance of student records in the institutions database. S/he will regularly report to the Director General

  1. A very good post graduate degree in Educational Management, Leadership or Administration from a recognized university with at least five years relevant work experience in a higher education or similar educational setting.
  2. A Post graduate Diploma in Educational Management, Leadership or Administration or its equivalent from a recognized university with at least five years’ experience.
  3. A Bachelors degree in Education or related field from a recognized university with at least seven (7) years work experience in a similar position.

ADVERTISEMENT OF COURSES

COMPUTER SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

  1. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND):This course is designed to produce technically competent graduates in Computer Science to meet national middle level man power needs.

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry level requirements for the HND in computer Science is as follows:-

  1. Four (4) Credits in WASSCE including Mathematics and English.
  1. Ordinary Nation Diploma (OND) in Computer Science with at least a credit or pass.
  2. Technician Diploma in Information Processing with a minimum of credit or pass.
  3. Students with Certificate in Computer Engineering with a minimum credit pass may also apply.

Course Starts: January 2019

Duration: Two years.

  1. CERTIFICATE IN SOFTWARE (SWC) APPLICATION: This course will introduce the students to basic computer Hardware and Software processing concepts using windows based applications.

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry level requirements for SWC is as follows:

  1. Three (3) Credits in WASSCE including Mathematics and English Language
  2. Students with Certificate in Microsoft Office Word application may also apply.

BUSINESS STUDIES DEPARTMENT

  1. PERSONAL ASSISTANT/EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT – PART TIME

Entry Requirements: The minimum entry level requirements for this program is as follows:

  1. 5 Credits at WASSCE including English and Mathematics plus any other relevant subject(s).
  2. Three (3) years’ experience in a secretarial job from a reputable institution.
  • Advanced Diploma in Secretarial Studies / Administration is an advantage.

Duration: 6 months
